A proposed four story hotel is putting a spotlight on an ongoing issue for Traverse City leaders, planners, and businesses. If approved the proposed hotel, a national chain which has yet to be named, would make its home in downtown Traverse City's Warehouse District on Garland Street, but a clause in the city's zoning ordinance is creating some issues for re-development.
